TurnTool releases a new module called Merge. You can add Merge to a specific solution and save precious time in development, enjoy rapid update structure and smaller initial download for the user.
Imagine you have a big scene and you need to do an update, we all know it can be a struggle to find the objects that are in for an update and not to forget the scripting that might as well cause challenges. With the new TurnTool2011 everything has already become much easier we know, but why not simplify things even further?
We thought why not split the scene in objects that are saved in individual TNT files and merge them in as you need them? It leads to a number of advantages:
1) Producing becomes simpler as you can keep focus on objects and save them in one TNT file for each object.
2) Updates becomes simpler as you can add, correct and change objects through individual TNT files instead of handling the entire scene.
3) Imagine you store everything in a database, from where you get the list of choices for the interface as well. Suddenly you have a truly dynamic and manageable solution.
Options are endless and we fell we are discovering new options every day with Merge our challenge is to explain it to you. It’s so simple and yet it opens up a new area off possibilities. So we prepared a small TuTorial for you, that explains it with a simple product, please note how little scripting you need to achieve something that also adapts to a much bigger solution.
