1. Version 3.0 Ready for Autodesk 3ds Max 9 and the Future

The TurnToolBox core has been rebuilt from scratch to ensure that our software is easier to adapt to new technologies and platforms. You will still have all the well known features but now it is even easier to add functionality. The TurnToolBox is now compatible with AutoDesk 3ds Max 9 as well. The interface has also been updated and many users will experience an increase in export speed. With this major revision the TurnTool software can continue to be a superior 3D tool for our users in the future.

Please note that you can always use the TurnToolBox free of charge. The only difference between the commercial and the free edition is the TurnTool watermark that is visible on visualizations made with the free version. All functionality and features are exactly the same.

2. Templates for Dummies

As an extra feature in the TurnToolBox 3.0 it is now considerably easier for users to make 3D-presentations and visualizations with the new HTML template system. You can still use JavaScript for advanced functions, but the new templates basically mean that any graphic designer can make visualizations with none or minimal scripting. Set up your model, choose camera angle and template - and hit the export button. The new TurnToolBox has several templates included: Architecture, Games, Move, etc. – and more to come…

Download the TurnToolBox now and try it yourself: http://www.turntool.com/try-turntool.html.

3. Multiple UV - Texture Coordinates

It’s a small revolution in the web3D world that we can introduce multiple UV (texture coordinates) for the TurnToolBox 3.0. You can now use multiple textures in several ways on geometry. Before you had one texture on one surface with a fixed lightning. Now you can have different sized textures on one surface with a differential lightning. That gives a tremendous boost in quality with more pixels, higher resolution and endless possibilities for customizing your models.

4. TurnTool updates support for FireFox

FireFox supportThe integration with FireFox has been updated with a totally rewritten plugin. We have noticed an increasing use of FireFox among our users and combined with the rise of FireFox users worldwide we are happy to announce that we have improved support for FireFox now and in the future.

To have your end-users update their FireFox plugin automatically, read this forum post: http://www.turntool.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=352
